AUDITS & DESIGN CONSULTING
Polargy provides data center audits and design reviews at a number of levels, for technical staff right through to the C-level management team. In most situations we tailor our data center audit reports to meet client's exact requirements and address specific issues, especially regarding cooling system efficiency.
Data Center Audits
Our data center audits are for organizations looking to gain insight into their current data center health and efficiency and will help identify any quick wins to improve the facility performance and reliability. Audits are conducted over one to three days. The site location, data center layout, cooling and electrical plant, and redundancy capability (data, power and water) are examined and assessed.
Audit reports provide detailed findings that identify strengths and weaknesses and summarize ways to improve and enhance the facility. Quick wins are called out and longer terms improvements are included. Urgent vulnerabilities are also identified. Finally, a comprehensive set of recommendations are made.

Airflow Studies
A good understanding of the airflow patterns and temperature distribution in the data center can help improve cooling efficiency and drive improvement efforts, especially containment system designs. Airflow understanding is best achieved through computer modeling of the fluid flow and thermal processes, called Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling. CFD modeling can be included in an audit or done as a standalone service.
Data Center Design Reviews/Recommendations
When you need to expand your data center, renovate its existing infrastructure or build a completely new data center, Polargy can help. For sites where the data center’s design needs a second set of eyes, we provide design reviews to assure all bases have been covered. If you are planning a new site and want a high level set of design goals and objectives to provide to your architect, Polargy provides these as well.
